home made metal polisher?

I'm going to make a new one, currently I run a mop direct from the motor.
I want to convert it into a twin polisher via pulleys and belt.like in the picture below.
the motor runs @ 2810 speed I would like to maintain this speed using the correct size pulleys
what size pulleys do I need?
also would it make any different to size of belt say 20",24"30"
the motor will be attach to the main frame (that the polisher is on)
using it own weight to maintain the belt pressure.
your tips and advice will be much appreciated thanks in advance .

to keep the same speed you will need two pulleys of the same size,

motor pulley 1 rotation = spindle shaft 1 rotation

that is assuming you are driving the mop spindle from the motor spindle with no intermediate pulleys?

Try to keep the pullies as large as you can fit in, the belt is more likely to slip with smaller pullies.

31/2" should be ok?(if it isn't tuff on me just bought two.)
