Bit long-winded but nice idea.

Saw this the other day, it's pretty tremendous, it would be quite the machine made out of steel.

Now I've watched that YouTube pushed a few out of steel.
Too many projects but possibly shelved for the future

Can't see the benefit over rails run in bearings for it's application though.

I think the USP when it came out was it was more compact, you can butt it right up against a wall without the rails getting in the way. I don't see an advantage to it over just moving the rails like Festool did though. I suppose, done right, it could be incredibly stiff, more so than a pair of steel bars and perhaps lighter too but it just looks like added complexity, probably just paying for cool factor.

Does pva glue really hold metal in place? And magnets?

Nope. Getting it close to a wall makes sense and useful.
Can't use mine on the bench in the shed.
Need about 900mm to allow clearance.
Will cut nearly 400mm though.

It's lacking many of the features of the wood version though!
