some will go in the freebies probably as small / job lots anything worth owt I'll probably try and flog . it's been a dog couple of years and keeping stuff for projects and dreams has slowly turned into a rammed garage with no where to turn or do anything and when I do want something I CAN'T BLOODY FIND IT .........

Now we’ve launched the business and pesky people keep buying stuff (not that I’m complaining too much) it seems that a break may be short this year.

Unfortunately, being self-employed means I don't get paid for my holidays but hey, you're a long time dead...

I used to look forward to the Christmas safety cover rota, if you got Christmas day, Boxing day or New years day it was go in for 2 hours and get paid 4 hours at treble time

I propose to have a whole week off - work upto and including Saturday 20th - then shut workshop and have eight whole days off - then return to work on Monday the 29th.
The following week - will just work as normal - just shut on the Thurs - the bank holiday. But got nothing planned - may even work - if I got things to do and parts to do them with....?

Cash in hand seems to be the only way to do it nowadays! I can't but would if I could...I thought fiddle and self employed went hand in hand ? Or was that cash in hand ?
I'm still considering jacking it in on Friday or going in for the Monday and Tuesday as I originally planned.
I'm struggling to motivate myself.

With all this rain i feel like i have started the holidays over a week ago I must have at least 3 months work backed up i cant get to because of the weather, and heres me thinking i was going to semi retire to a 3 day week end of this year...no chance.

I closed for a few days off work one Xmas , when I opened up an irate customer was having a rant because I was closed. When I asked him if he was on holiday he said yes, my reply was “ so was I” Won’t be having any extra time off this year , perhaps because I’m retired

im suposed to be knocking a lot of work on the head ,the heavy stuff i have and rewires and diging walls out and floorboards up but still have a boatload of small jobs to do and get a fair few fault finding jobs which i dont mind, keeps my mind activeWith all this rain i feel like i have started the holidays over a week ago
