Having a sort out in my shed yesterday and came across a brand new solar welding helmet which I must have bought some 7 or 8 years ago and forgotten about !
It's brand new, unused and was still in the original box.
Brand is Hobart.
Seems you have to leave it in sunlight to charge up the battery before use - according to the pee-off sticker on the lens.
My question is - will it still charge up OK after being in storage for so long and be safe to use ?
Can you get replacement batteries for them ?
Think I paid about £60 for it back then so would like to get some use from it.
