hobart 140 trigger leads

So i'm new to welding. I just bought a Hobart handler 140 and start hooking everything up. I noticed the trigger leads diagram shows them plugged in under the circle diagram but than the next page shows them plugged in in the circle. also which is positive and negative the wires aren't marked(their colors are blue and brown) and the male ends aren't marked either any help would be appreicated

I assume these are the two wires from the gun trigger?

If so, they should not matter on polarity.

I am talking about the two spade terminals attached to the gun, opposite side of the tip towards the gear drive side. If it doesn't matter that would be awesome

Sounds like a standard Tweco gun setup. There is no polarity in the connections.

If you are unsure, verify ther eis no connection between the wires and the tip of the gun with a meter.

thanks a ton! Bought this to learn welding and do some work on a current project car and some work for some buddies cars. just didn't want to blow this thing up before I got started
