Hi Guy's can you help please?

I bought a bottle of argoshield light x. I've done a couple of afternoons welding, probably no more than a couple of hours continuos I reckon and the bottle is about two thirds gone. I went round all the connections with the soapy fluid and no leaks, but when I crank the regulator up I can hear a hissing sound from the gauges, I think its the right hand one.

Does this sound like the gauges are leaking?

what does the bottle pressure gauge read?
Sounds like the regulator is goosed.
If its two gauges then one is bottle pressure (left) should read 230psi iirc for boc full bottle and the other gauge (right) will be line pressure calibrated in lpm. If the hissing increases as you open the reg then the line pressure gauge will be u/s

The left hand gauge was up at the bottom of the green arc which I think said 3000 and the hissing definitely increases as I open the reg. The set is brand new from Weldequip and its a Pareweld set.

I don't think it is from the tail, I had the washing up luid all over it and I couldn't see any obvious bubbles (other than the ones I created with the brush!)

What welder or rather does it have a solenoid valve control for the gas as leaving the bottle on with mine when not welding means I do get a little leak around the solenoid valve

Its a Parweld XTM170 http://www.weldequip.com/parweld-171c-mig.htm. The noise seems to be coming from the right hand gauge on the regs which I think is the flow rate gauge. I'll give Steve at weldequip a call tomorrow, maybe the regs are duff.
