Like a lot of people out there I was undecided about what to replace my old SIP Mig welder with. I do work on classic cars in my 'spare' time so I needed something capable of dealing with the thin stuff with the occasional bit of heavy duty chassis work.
Fortunately I found this site with its mine of information and experience and having read various opinions and recommendations I eventually decided on a Portamig 181 supplied by weldequip.
My reason for posting is twofold:
1, The Portamig is a superb bit of kit in all respects and I cannot recommend it highly enough - it is well worth the small (in my opinion) extra cost over the other run of the mill machines out there.
2, I have rarely had the pleasure of dealing with people as knowledgeable, efficient and friendly as weldequip. After sales service service is second to none.
Personally, I cannot fault either the machine or the supplier - thanks again Steve, keep up the good work.
