I am inserting metal into an old Land Rover chassis and "butt welding" around it. Then grinding down the weld and painting it.
On setting 2, I have a tendency to burn through the chassis, but turning down the power to 1, I am not getting enough penetration.
I am using gas less 0.6 wire.
Could anybody offer any ideas on where I am going wrong?
