High temp filler for exhaust ?

Hi guys i want to patch a part of my cat on my truck that has rusted out abit on the outer casting but not gone right through to make a hole but i cant find any high temp filler that would be suitable can anyone suggest any

better doing a quick weld on the metal though may blow through

filler just wont do it

on second thoughts jb weld might do it

but dosnt stay on the surface for long fine in corners and within the pipes but not on flat surfaces

How big is the cat? Diameter
Beer can or similar, holts muck and jubilee clips, is the classic bodge.

Stress the word bodge.

Obviously welding a patch is better, does any of this pass an MOT?

I know the holts + jubilee clips + beer can will pass mot for a HGV tractor unit. I know because I’ve done it don’t use jubilee clips they don’t work, use the stainless band type. Not sure what they are called. The juju in the mastic tube is far easier to work with than the smaller toothpaste tubes?

clean it with a wire brush in grinder then solvent. Follow the instructions re warming it up and things and it works fine.

I have actually put no more nails in a hole in the edge of a silencer to get a car through the MOT fully planning to replace it later but it was fine 2 years later.

JB Weld Extreme Heat is claimed to withstand 1300 degC when cured. The epoxy adhesive variants of other JB weld products won't come even close to withstanding the temperatures the Cat casing can reach.
