Great film magnet, no rope access there then what about the lad operating the winch blind just with the sound of the bells, I bet many of fingers were lost

Slightly off topic. But in the 50s my Dad worked out in the woods in British Columbia they had yarders that operated on that bell system for hauling the timber out, my dad being the only limey on the crew was as you would expect at the bottom of the pile jobs wise.
He was the choker man attaching the wire ropes onto the felled timber, one day a guy with an itchy finger was on the bells the yarder started up and my dad got his thigh trapped between the hauser and the tree with the tension going on fast had it not been for a sharp eyed worker he would of lost his leg.
Needless to say he caught up with itchy finger and to use his description kicked him all over the logging camp.............Magnet
