I did a search but I only found stuff on here from 2012.
Anyway, my question is can you spray a 2K high build primer over Jotamastic. I have a Hilux pickup that I am restoring. The rear tub was very rusty so I have sand blasted it and cut out any rust and welded in new where needed. I have used Jota on the underside of the main body/cab area and intend doing the same on the tub. I welded in new steel above the wheel arches and have also blasted or sanded any surface rust spots on the outer panels so I have a few patches of bare metal on the outside of the panels. As I will be doing the underside in Jotamastic I wondered if it is possible/wise/idiotic to apply Jotamastic then High Build Primer over the top before a solvent basecoat and clear to finish.
I am happy to put 4 or 5 coats of HBP on to even out the bumpy Jota and spend time sanding to get it right. There are new patches welded in and I will have to fill and sand anyway so I am happy to put in a bit of extra work if it helps keep the rust away.
This is the primer https://www.spraygunsdirect.co.uk/i...-of-4-colours-3-75l.html#sthash.pKvPU8v6.dpbs
Thanks in advance for any advice or if you can share any experience.
