I need a High Ampage 12v DC supply to run a 12v Hydraulic pump in my workshop, among other possible uses. At present I use a Battery but it's pain charging it up. So this got me thinking
Would it be possible to run 110v transfers in series to get 13.75v
eg, 240v>115v>55v>27.5v=13.75v
I then thought ****** it needs rectifying (AC to DC) so that got me on to thinking about using an old welder. I know the voltage welders are dropped down to get the high ampage is around 12v. So what do you think Im I mad or just plain...
