Hi? why I must buy spool gun for Al?

I try to buy Everlast welder..

They advertise.. 5 years warantee and It's cheaper than miler..

But for Aluminum they wrote down.. I must buy spool gun..

why I must use it? and their machine is pulse mig..

and any one can recommend me cheap pulse mig welder about 1600$ and can weld aluminum thank you for that.

First thing i'd suggest is carefully researching Everlast as they're infamous on the internet for poor customer service (at least in the past) and to go over the terms of their warrenty with a magnifying glass! IIRC you would be responsible for shipping costs both ways in the event of a claim which could be very longwinded and expensive is there's no local agent

A spool gun is not necessary to weld ally, it's one way of dealing with potential wire feeding problems... pushing a soft wire through the torch lead ain't the easyiest thing to do so moving the spool of wire to the torch is way to bypass the problems i.e. only have to push it a few inches. The downside to spool guns is a small spool and a bulky torch. Another method is 'push - pull' torches which add an extra feed motor allowing the use of large remote spools that are pushed by the machine/feeder and pulled by the torch

Plenty of manufacturers manage to produce machines that will push ally wire through a conventional torch by using good quality wire feed motors/mechanisms. However they aren't built to be cheap, they're built to work well and cost what they cost. If Everlast are saying it will only work with a spoolgun then reading between the lines i'm thinking what they're really saying is 'our wire feed mechanism isn't very good'?

I think you have university education... very nice words! Okay I understand it now..It's all about feeding problem

Ah I see I think push -pull or spool gun is somekind of computer stuff so when welding wire the gun push and pull wire with some kind of machanism..

but that's just a feeding problem.. ah.. I don't need to buy spool gun at all .. I'm just hobbist

My Clarke 100e mk2 pushes aluminum wire through without any problems. I replaced the liner with a teflon one, don't know if thats relevant or not.

Not the greatest of welders but it seems to do the job. I would like to try a better one though.

Thanks I have Clarke 180 en.. Hmm It's seem low power for 3-5t steel..

I must admit I don't use for much except cars. Although it's donkeys years old it's not seen that much use.
The lower end is what's important to me.
Would like to know any ways of improving it.

I can always weld thicker metal using a V-goove.or double V. Haven't had to yet though except practising.
