Thanks, is there a noticeable price difference between welding and soldering?It is a very strong joint, and low profile, whereas wirh MIG or TIG there will be a noticeable bead of weld (less so TIG).

Yes I know that's why I put the galvanized in parentheses but thanks for the comment!Welding galvanised steel is not a good idea, because of the toxicity of the zinc fume given off. Better to weld the components as plain steel first and then galvanise.
