don't know about the welder but I rather think you will get a lot of spam if you put your email address in your name like that
I considered this conversion for a clarke and the general feelings were that it was cheaper and better to maintain the standard torch. Certainly on moving to a euro torch welder from the Clarke the first thing I noticed was how big the euro torch was in comparison. The extra length of the euro torch was good but if the feed motor in your cosmo isn't very powerful you may find that having a longer torch makes the feed worse

As your welder has a small wire feed motor assembly much like the SIP welders It might be worth your while reading through the SIP section where other members have done mod such as a "brace" for the wire feed bracket and other mods

Terry, its classic symptoms of these machines look in the tutorials linked at the top of the page . 1st is the liner in the torch its plastic as it wears it grabs the wire. 2nd is the pathethetically wimpy motor. 3rd is the way the welder takes its power for the motor from the actial welding current.
Replace the torch liner with a steel one a clarke ones fit so dont worry about looking for sip ones. There is nothing we can do about the drive motor but the brace modification helps. As for the supply its worth doing the separate transformer mod sa the original set up has the power fluctuating and the motot stuttering and surging. All the info you need is in the separate "Sip& Cosmo" section. Wire liner and brace should get you on your way for about a tenner. ( id add links to all the above but its a pain to do on this kindle)
