Hi all,
Just got my self a Clarke 151 and am have been scouring this site for tips for when I start welding my wifes 74 beetle.
I see that lots of you start with a scrap peice and practice a lot. Thats my next step.
The forum and the site makes great reading for welding and spraying, may post some pics of my "welds"
when I get some scrap bits.
Great site and good work to the webmaster.
Cheers.

its good to practice on some stuff similar thickness to your beetle thats what i found anyway. my 67 beetle is going through both heater channels both full floor pans and both full front quarters and front clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have a look at the pictures i posted in the projects section. be good to see some photos of your bug mate
. Do post some photos of your welds on the scrap material before you get going on the job - we might be able to suggest adjustments that make it easier.
