Hi everybody.

Just thought I would introduce myself. I've been looking around the site and have found it very helpful.

I'm fairly new to welding, started a evening college course about 8 weeks ago.

I need to know how to weld for my hobby....cars.

I've ordered myself a welder on wednesday after much deciding, went for an oxford 200-1 (but minimum amps at 15 instead of the normal 20), hopefully pick it up in the next week or so.

I think Oxfords are built just up the road from you in York so you won't have far to go to complain if it doesn't work

Hi Matt, welcome to the forum.
That should be a good choice of machine, it will make things a lot easier for you.
Any particular car on the go at the mo or are you just a serial tinkerer?
