Hi
I started teaching myself to stick weld a couple of weeks ago, using YouTube videos. I've got through most of my life without needing to weld anything, but still, it's something I've wanted to learn for a long time. I took a jewellery making course a few years ago so did lots of silver soldering. Then I had a few small DIY projects that needed some brazing, so I got myself a brazing torch. Now I've bought a 160amp AC arc welder. It's just a hobby, and my livelihood doesn't depend on me learning welding, but I like to try and do things properly. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who welds. So I'm hoping this forum will be a friendly place for me to get advice when I hit a problem. And guess what? - I have hit a problem recently but I'll post about that on the main forum.
Cheers
