Hi all

Im jacob from canada south ontairo

im 14 an apprentice aircraft sheet metal worker

ive worked on

astra jets
waco bi planes
a german power glider
boeing 727s
a sea fury
2 lockheed 12a's
and a spitfire

i manufacture parts damage inspection installing parts ect......
all out of aircraft aluminum (2024 t3)

ive been learning how to weld at my school
and have become proficient in mig welding mostly mild steel
ive done a bit of welding on aluminum (unrelater to aircraft)

also in my spare time i am a pilot a pro fishermen and a marksmen and i also collect hot sauce

i fire all various types of firearms

i fish for pike,bass,trout,catfish,carp and all various pan fish hey if it swims ill go looking for it

i fly cessna 172's

the hottest sauce i have is 4million shu Z nothing beyond and i have various from blairs cajohns and juna

anyways i hope to get to know you all well and I hope to gain more knowledge

schools there I just have a deal with them,
I dont get homework

I take days off once and a while there seems to be alot of days at my school where I can learn more at home sleeping !

Movie, day half days and stuff like that where you know theres not going to be anything missed.

It happens more then you think too!

Also yes te spitfire was a pritty good job the engine coulings air intake was all shot to hell so we fixed it It took me and my boss ted about 2 hours not including the time it took to modify the bucking bar (about an hour grinding I with the belt sander untill it had enough of a curve we could fit it underneath the seam and hammer the aluminum back down.

Now the really cool part was when we droped it off at the guys hanger I got to take a tour

Needless to say im trying to get a job with him the a12 project if failing fast everyones quitting!

It was a great job , i only wish i had my digital camera back then so i could post some pictures!

I wish the UK schools were as understanding. they used to let people who had good apprenticeships, leave school early. Not much chance of that now with the Nanny/Health & safety state

It took alot of fighting with them to get what I got but it was worth it in the end!
