hi every one just found this site,can some body help me please

can any body please tell me how i can find out what size wire i have on at the moment , i have had it on since i moved up here from London 16 years ago i haven't looked at it now my new found youth i want some thing to do but i have fittings taps and dials.

Measure it!
Cut a small piece off and lay it across a tape measure or rule, you'll easily see if it's just over 1/2mm, almost 1mm or 1mm.

Oh, and if it's 16 years old it's probably a bit past it's sell-by date anyway, I expect it's got a pretty good coating of rust on it hasn't it?
If so don't use it or it will most likely clog up your torch liner.
You may be able to strip some layers off it but if it's that old it's probably best to bin it and put some fresh on.

If you have the correct tip fitted to match the wire, the tip may have the size stamped on it, the feed rolls are also marked with size.
