Hi guys, i'm new to the forum and just about to get myself a welder. Had one a couple of years ago but stupidly sold it.
I think i want either a Clarke 150TE or 160TE. The 160TE seems the natural choice as it's set up for big bottles already (which i want) and it seems to come well recommended.
However the 'hobby' 150TE claims to be able to weld 6mm steel whereas the 160 (strangely) only seems rated up to 4-5mm. It's for car body repairs and fabrication.
They're both around the same price so i was wondering if anyone could advise?
Cheers, Ed
