Well I've read the FAQ's on this site a few times but until now have never considered joining the forum......
I'm restoring 2 VW Oval Beetles, one for me (1954) and one with/for my 15 year old son (1955). Both of these are official UK cars so I plan to restore them (Body/chassis) to their former glory.
The '54 has more holes in the lower 6" than it does metal so I need to learn to weld asap as I want to do all the work myself if possible rather than take the car to someone to do it for me.
The '55 isn't a fraction as bad so I will use this as my test bed for my forthcoming new skills
just don't tell my son!!
Now I need to buy a MIG.................................
