hi everybody
finally got my welder and workshop area set up yesterday, ive just bought a clarke160tm mig from machinemart and am using co2 argon mix from a local gas supplier in darwen dunno what weight it is but the bottle stands about 5 foot, after reading this forum for quite a few weeks now i think im good to go and have a practice ill post pics later, all advice and criticism will be welcome

Welcome and posting pics of your first welds is always a good idea, it allows other more experienced to help you fine 'fine tune' your skill.

We have all been there with our first welds so don't worry if they appear rubbish, my initial advice is don't try to go for thin material right away...bit of scrap 3mm will be easier to get a few runs going, just make sure you clean it up first.
