hi everyone i have just brought my first welder its a einhell innova combi 2000 has any one heard of this welder before as i can not find anything about it on th internet. i got it second hand it says its gas/gasless if i want to weld gasless i have to swap the the clamp and torch terminals over why is this and also it says on the welder it will weld mild steel and aluminium if so do i have to just change the wire and use gas or swap over the terminals and weld gasless pls help as i have not got a clue .

Gasless wire need the polarity reversed over gas wire. It runs electrode (torch) negative while gas wire uses electrode positive.

Aluminum will require pure argon gas and the appropriate wire and tips.

Post some pictures of the unit. Probably the same as a more common name.

einhell is made here in the UK,so I'm told.

I have had an Einhell Circular saw for nigh on ten years and its still going strong,used heavily as well.....guess where I bought it? for £19.99.

A German company, I think at one time making or rebadging decent stuff, which turned into an outfit using its name to sell low priced Chinese gear made by Kende etc.

Einhell stock various spare parts & accessories for units that they manufacture.

I've got a welder marked Einhell on the outside and with their address in the booklet, but Kende on the internal bits. Seems at least suggestive. Depends what you mean by 'manufactured' I suppose and how you read the statement. People in marketing departments are so creative with words. It certainly wasn't a made in Germany price which is something of a clue.

The local Trading Standards Officer. I think they might be forging the Kende name and passing off expensive German products as cheap Chinese imports and selling them to a gullible public by slyly selling them at very low prices.

I can't wait til Lorch try the same scam.
