While I was crimping the battery eye lugs on I thought i would show you what a great little tool the Speedway crimping tool is. I used to use a set of tong type crimpers which were very expensive and very good but unfortunately someone borrowed them and never bought them back. This simple tool is equally as good.

its only a v anville and an oval striker pin and will do most sizes . handy to use in a workshop but no use on site crimping in situ

I use a nut splitter and bit of heat shrink neatens things up nicely.

I borrow my mates Hydrolic machine, any size cables -- and I know its right, Obviously he`s a professional electrician. He convinced me about the rights and wrongs of crimping.

there ok for for welding cables ect but when u get to high voltage and large currents the corect formers and pressures must be used and the crimps tested

Guys no need to put to much thought into this it's just a tool to crimp battery terminals on a car, nothing more
