Hope this is not too 'off-topic'!!
I have a Tannoy 100 watt active sub woofer that has developed a fault. It's the -12 volt supply to the circuit that is causing the problem and I managed to find a youtube video that pointed to a little A1015 PNP transistor. Sure enough this TX has gone open and a couple of resistors had burnt out.
I replaced all and it worked..for about a week. Changed the transistor again and same thing only lasted a short time. I'm wondering is there a better alternative to the Tx or can I parallel two to share the load between them??
I can get a completely new amp based around the same TDA7293 chip for a few quid but the sub has auto turn on which is handy.
