Hello there!
I have recently been given an SIP Migmate 130 gas/gasless that has had very little use. The father in law was going to do a restoration project that never happened so does not need it anymore.
I do a bit of security shuttering and that sort of thing with my current Cebora 150 but today decided to have a go with the SIP.
The problem I am getting is that on high settings no matter what I do I get a very poor weld. The wire is constantly getting stuck in the tip and it seems to have no penatration at all even on the highest setting. At the time I was welding 4mm mild steel with 0.6 wire. Switching to the Cebora with the same wire and gas supply I get the normal superb weld. It's not a little bit better, it's worlds apart.
What can I check on the SIP for faults? I wondering if it is simply crap or if there is a common fault.
Cheers,
Wayne.
