help with lathe

just unbolt it of its stand 4 bolts that should be suficcient for two people to man handle it if your feeling faint take the motor /tailstock / and chuck off i honestly wouldnt take anything else off

Totally agree with Brightspark on this one, If you do need to disconnect any wiring make careful notes of what fits where, I had a friend moved a lathe that had a two speed motor with forward and reverse, he just disconnected everything without marking or notes, Never did get it to work properly after the rebuild,

Nice little lathe, looks very similar to my Drummond-Myford ‘M’. Quite a lot of info available on lathes.co.uk website.

Take care if you remove the drive - I read a warning somewhere that the heavy countershaft assembly can easily drop down and snap its cast pivots, so it is best to have an assistant on hand.

As brightspark, but I would remove motor & countershaft (its back heavy).
To carry any distance, suspend from scafold pole on 2 men sholders, (I use 'B' section vee belts) or rope or webing.
