Help Sourcing Material, please.

In the process of building a log splitter, I have the main beam plus other small metal bits, ram, pump/motor and control valve.

I'm now looking for the ram mount and push plate materials.

I'm trying to find 2 pieces of 20mm (or 16mm at a push) x 160mm x 400mm flat bar and 1 piece of 200mm x 200mm angle iron about 220mm long.

I travel around the Essex/Kent area most of the week, I've tried my local small stock holders (I haven't managed to get to IMS in Shoeburyness).

Can anybody suggest a place that may be able to supply from stock?

Anything 20mm thick will probably have to be cut from plate and you have no thickness specified for your 200mm x 200mm "angle iron" but it may have to be bent on a folder in the size you are looking at there. There are 200x200x13 angles available but it is construction industry material

20mm Flat bar is available up to 400mm wide but its not a usual stock item, regarding the angle any thickness will do, or I'II have to weld up a push plate/angle out of cut plate.

PS.

Just out of interest how much should I except to pay for the 2 pieces 20mm x 150mm x 400mm, even if it is cut from 20mm plate???
