help please?

I've just got my welder out, attached the torch and run the wire through. Gone to start and nothing. The torch is dead. No line feed, no has, no click. The fan is going when i turn it on so the plug fuse is fine, it worked ok to pull the line through but didn't even get 1 arc.
Any ideas?

Depending on what welder it is, work the power setting switches/buttons in/out/round a few times and see if that cures it.
If not, is there a light on the front panel which says it's overheated? I know it won't have overheated but if the thermal cutout is faulty it will stop everything but the fan.

edit: ah i see, it's a Cebora Pocket Turbo 130...sooo that means no eurotorch! Me thinks you're right then dear Wozzles!
Weird tho...isn't the torch already assembled on that kit? a loose wire or something?

Right..update....
I must change that bit..the pocket turbo went. I now have something else. It has a euro torch fitted.

A mate seemed to think something on the circuit board has gone so has taken it to try it. I'll put a pic of the welder on again. Not even sure what it is tbh..
The cutout light wasn't on, it simply worked then didn't.

Errrr right!

On the pic the euro connector seems a bit crooked...if you you press the trigger and wriggle the connector a bit does it work??

Make sure it's screwed in tight (but not too tight) and make sure the connector and socket are in a good state...does the gas work?

Maybe a new torch will sort your problems...

The torch is set on that angle.everything is clean and a good connection. The gas worked fine till it packed in.
I'll **** what mate says about this bit he's looking at then start working my way through it.

ps: does mate have a spare eurotorch, so you can try that out?

No. If he can't find a problem then I'll take out welding shop and ask them if i canconnect one up too test it.

Check the small pins on the torch side of the euro connector. Sometimes they can get pushed back into the connector

Quick way to ruleout the tourch is remove it and using a couple of inches of wire, bridge the two small sockets that the two pins mentioned above would go into. If this fires up the feed motor and gas valve ect then the fault is in the tourch if not it's not your tourch. Reason when you press the trigger in the tourch all it does is short the two pins to activate the rest of the welder.
