help please

ive bought a new torch for my ahem Sip migmate

bought from welduk.com as weldequip couldnt help me out-although the help and info he gave me were a great help

anyways,got it delivered to day,and it looks and feels awesome,compare to the old one.........problem is its a two wire torch,where as mine is only 1 wire

the guy did tell me what 2 do to sort it out,but i canny remember,so wonderin if anyone could help

Connect one wire to the existing wire socket on the welder & stick the other wire under the 17mm nut on the torch threads before you clamp it up. Forget which wire goes where but it shouldn't matter (you always wanted a perm anyway didn't you ).

was well impressed with the service,was told i missed yesterdays delivery,so would be delivered by12am tomorrow,turned up at 755 this morning

right,i wired the torch up 2day as ive beentold,but when u press the trigger,you get noise,as if the wire feeder is working,but no wire feed~(rollers dont move)

the machine was working lastweek before i took the torch off,so what have i done wrong???
suggestion anyone please

oh,ive tried the two wires on the feed and no difference,and its got a connection in the crimps-if you break the connection,i.e off the gas valve,then you get nothing,put back onthe gas valve and it works which ever wire you swop

Have you tried wiring both torch lead wires to the socket on the wire from the machine?

You said the guy told you but you couldn't remember what he said, Mark. Maybe give him another shout and see what he did say?

ive wired the torch up as the guy told me
i turn on the machine,everythin seems fine,press the trigger on the torch,and i get the motor running for the feeder,but no wire feed

i have tried swopping the wires over,and there is no difference,the spindle isnt moving on the wire feeder

ive spent nearly 200 on this machine with buying and replacing the torch,but now im getting peeved off

the machine was working great until i had the feed issues caused by the cruddy plastic liner,the new liner is now steelcoated,and if you feed the wire thru manually,its nice and smooth

just cant get it 2 feed on the trigger

any one help me PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Cog teeth in the motor sheared off?

i would imagine the drive cog is plastic or nylon, so stands a reasonable chance of being chewed. if the wire feed motor is running but the drive wheel for the wire feed isnt working then its to do wire the 'gear box' on the wire feed

When the wire is not clamped in the rollers dose it actually turn??

Un clamp the wire from the rollers and see if they turn.

I know this is a oldish post but can anyone tell me where i can get a torch like this, but with just the one wire ?
Ive tryed weld.com but my pc is saying it can not find it ????

when you say torch like this, what do you mean. The connector on the end of the wire feed unit? which is a euro type connector

I need the torch and wiring for this old moster

Ive tryed sorting a feed problem but it keeps jamming on the plasic liner and the torch so i think its best to get some new parts

that sort of wire feed unit wont work with that machine, but i believe weldequip sell parts (liner etc for the torches) send him a pm
