After 6 years...wow just goes to show their warranty is worth more than the paper its written on.

Was it pedal related at all? I ask as I had the same problem. Just like your pics....lol.
With hackles on the back of my neck up I ended up down at R-tech where a very friendly guy set up my machine and started to weld on my sample....clearly it was a bit better but still crap, so he grabbed some samples of their own. Transformed the weld, even my son could get some decent beads down on his first attempt.
So it was my Ali samples ...always double check with something different...I do now,
However I did have a problem when I first started using the pedal...never used it for about 3 moths and then moved out of my unit to my garage. A quick phone call and a new one was in the post and hooked up the next day and sure enough the old style pedal was the problem. I am led to believe all new sets go out with a new design of pedal !

wasn't the pedal, i used my own in both places and it was fine, the welder displays the current whilst welding so either get a friend to look or touch the welder on some scrap metal and check the displayed amperage correlates to your pedal travel.
i actually went to R-Tech shortly after to pick up my MIG welder, they said if i wanted a pedal i was more than happy to take one, but mine works perfectly so didn't really see the need!
