I have been used to stick welding and have been given a gasless MIG welder a CEM Easy Mig hoping to be able to weld lighter gauge metal.
Just bought a small reel of flux cored wire and set it up but I am dissapointed to find that I cannot do a continuious weld, it just melts the protruding wire and then stops even though I am continuiously pressing the feed wire trigger.
The feed doesn't seem to be able to keep-up, I have looked at the technical section of this forum and adjusted the spool tension but still the problem remains.
There are only 2 settings MIN 45amp and Max 65 amp, Max is a faster wire speed but both gave the same results, a splattered mess and no weld.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
