Help needed

Hi,Can anybody tell me what this part is on the power supply circuit board.It has been blown right off my board.Thanks.

Thanks very much for that.Any idea as to what would cause it to blow,the welder is new.

probably an over voltage or spike, be sure to check all the other components are in good nick as i have often found when something goes pop like this there is something else in line that is causing the fault.

Everything else seams ok,the relay beside of it was burt but I chipped of the plastic and it looks fine inside but I might take it to an electronics expert to check it out just to be shore.

If it's blown clear of the board you will have to check the integrity of the tracks on the other side of the board. Unfortunately these days there is a tendency for electronics manufacturers to use multi layer boards, so the tracks could be out of reach between the layers.

Lucky enough it is only a single layer board and the tracks are easy to repair.Thanks.
