Are any of you familiar with this garage door door system?
A friend's opener has not worked for several years and today I finally got around to looking at it.
The problem is that the drive block in the boom, to which the door is connected, doesn't mechanically connect with the belt.
It used to work and stopped after a couple of years.
I think I know what's wrong and would like confirmation at least.
To me it looks as though there is a slipper piece missing which would keep the block in engagement with the belt until the dog disengages for manual opening.
