Help needed on how to change motor direction please.

I picked up a Brooke Crompton 1.5kw motor to power my vintage table saw. However it is currently spinning anti clockwise. Could someone please help by explaining what should go where. The pic is as it is now and I want to change it to clockwise / forward direction.

No map inside the lid?

You need to identify the two ends of the start winding. One end is the bottom right lead which is connected to the capacitor.
A test meter or 12v battery and bulb can be used. Once you've identified them, swap the two ends over.

Usually it would be to change the orientation of the two brass connectors as picture below to the marked yellow postions then live conneection to one and the neuteral to the other

Made no difference unfortunately

Hmm I put it back to the way it was and it now spins in the clockwise direction. Only thing I changed was moving the live 240 to the top left as per the map.

Moving the position of the live connection shouldn't make any difference to the direction of rotation as the brass link connects the two terminals together

That's what I thought, but some how it now works. The only other thing was I tightened up top middle and top right as they were loose.
