i want to do some very small thin spot welding material thickness total of approx 1.25mm is there a formula to determine how much voltage ( D C )and how much ampereage is required

Have a wee look at Malcoms tutorials first to give you an idea about this. Perhaps if you posted what machine you are using members could offer some advice!

I'm afraid i must agree with clem here...what kinda welder are you using? electrode, prp? or mig? put up some info on that, i'm sure we will be able to help you!
