help need to know what qualafacation welder needs for welding 3" gas pipes

hi looking to employ a welder/fabrictor to weld and fabricate gas pipes when gas meters are changed both rotary and turbine meters but need to know what quals i'm looing for and how much per hour should i be looking at paying

the people you are quoting to will probability have an approved list of qualification required

you have not mentioned the type of gas install you will be undertaking. if it is normal town gas ie 21mbar but as long as the pressure is not greater than 17bar then the minium quals will have to be summits skills tr5 (formly njic) welding mma/tig coding, the welder/fitter will also have to be gas safe qualified for at least pipework install, unless your commisioning engineer is happy to sign it on there behalf hope this helps always.
