Help! info needed

Hello,
I have aquired a 3phase 450amp mig welder. The only info identification on the machine is the serial plate which lists it as an AWP (advanced welding products) M450. The plate also lists a company called GEC Industrial controls Ltd. This welder came set up for 1.6mm wire and I would like to set it for 1mm/1.2mm which would be more useful for me. I can't seem to find any info on the net and wondered if anybody couls shed any light? Thanks in advance.

some pics is the way to go to help identify it. It might just be a change the tip in the torch job as industrial machines will take most wire

GEC Industrial Controls did not make welders but the machine could have been produced specially for their production as at one time they had enormous factories in Kidsgrove and Rugby and would have had dozens of machines in use . The GEC name disappeared completely when Lord Simpson came along and set about reducing the value of the company to zero from its former position as the number 1 British engineering company .
