Its very odd that bumping didnt work , still , start drilling it will be fine , have a look at a few videos on how to drill a lock , then you will have an idea of what your trying to do , its really only the shear line that needs to be gone .
No it isn't, its not as easy as seen in the videos
Do you find drilling out locks tricky , I never have any bother at all ,, being a landlord I get to do a fair few . And I certainly dont need a video on how to do it either.
Ive a set of bump keys Ive had for half a life time , the chub key is exceptional its nicely worn and that makes all the difference , its like most things , you need to practice oh , a good pair of hands helps too . Its amazing how many tenants ''loose'' keys and need help , you should see what a lock smith charges for opening a door.Bump keye
You will of course see that I was in fact suggesting that the original key that wasnt turning was tapped / bumped , as not every one will have a set of bump keys , or the knowledge and experience to use them .. just thought I would straighten that out for you as you may have not understood my original post , hope that helps.try tapping the key while turning it ,, its a form of jiggling , it may just do the trick , toffy hammer or the likes will work
Called bumping the lock.
