By any chance has anyone got a circuit diagram of their welding helmet? I would imagine they are all fairly similar as they work in the same way, mine stopped working for two days, yes I changed the battery and cleaned the contacts, and went over the board with an eye glass looking for bad joints, re soldered a few, but it didn't help, then suddenly two days later it started to work again. I want to see any circuit to get an idea of how they work. I know there ar a couple of sensors to pick up the arc and signal the LCD driver to darken.
I would imagine there needs to be a square wave oscillator to drive it, and then there would be the sensitivity and delay circuitry.
Incidentally, why is there a delay control? surely you would want it to react as fast as possible?
