Hello with compact tube bender

Hi, I have just ordered compact tube bender from ebay. It only comes with dies for round tube and flat bar up to 40 x 8 mm. Is it possible to bend box tube. I was thinking of getting 2 solid bars the inner to fit the width of box then sandwiching that between 2 larger diameter disks of solid bar to run up the outside of the box. Does this sound like it would work. If not any ideas. Cheers rob

Put a link up of what you have bought, it will help members to suggest methods that may work.

I know for tight bends of box section you need a former to crease the inside face of the bend.

Box tends to deform what ever you do to it. Its generally easier to cut slits in three sides bend it then weld it back up.
