Hello from LINY basic mig beginner here

Have a Lincoln SP-100 I purchased in early 90"s to weld some sheet metal on 72 el camino, got through welding hidden patches and learning on the go,now much later firing it up to weld some 1/8 mild steel brackets , gun (trigger) is sticking like its pulsing ,I recently changed spool wire .023 same wire as before from Lincoln dealer someone in car forum pointed me to change liner now guess thats a cheep replacement but Im not sure thats the problem any ideas, would be appreciated

I'm not sure what you mean by trigger sticking/pulsing. You mean the wire feeds erratically?

Check the rollers are clean and that the roll of wire is not sticking (the label glue can interfere with its rotating.). Maybe a new tip first.

yes trigger was sticking erratic pulse I tool handle apart and found one of the contact points was a bit pushed pack in the slot re-set and good to go,as a nube I was happy not to have to go to air-weld for repair thanks for reply
