Hi guys,
Thought about getting into MIG welding for ages and after finding reading and watching the stuff on this website,I'm going to have a go.My minds bursting with things and ideas on what to have a go at.Just need a MIG welder that will run off an household supply,seen on Machine mart for around £175 Clarke MIG110EN TUBRO 'no gas' which I'm thinking of getting.

What is it you want to weld? Is such a low powered machine going to do it?

Welcome from me too. A 150amp welder will run off a household supply too, so no need to go small for the worry of blowing fuses.

Does make some sense to spend a little more for a few more amps. The amps vs metal thickness relationship isn't linear (presumably because they are multiplied by other stuff like voltage) so you can weld a lot thicker with fairly few extra amps. Have a flick through the buyers guide before deciding.
