ello all, im ali (username ali-veedub) im currently restoring a 1967 vw beetle. both floor pans, both heater channels, both front quarters and 1 rear quarter!!! purchased my first welder today a clarke 150 TE anyone with any advice would be appriciated as im totally new to this. (welding that is) iv been reading a few post where people have stated normal 13 amp plugs into the mains will be fine? bit of a bummer if thats true iv just had 32 amp sockets fitted to garage and outside...

Yes you may say it is a bummer.........but it's a bigger pain when you keep flicking the sockets out. You have done the correct thing.........hats off to you!

thats good to hear, i was beginning to think i had gone overkill and spent money that wasnt needed to be spent.. does it matter though this project has bankrupted me hahaha
