Well I think it is.

I don't weld much, only MIG with a basic Clarke running gasless wire. I'd liken my welding to nailing bits of offsawn timber together. For the equivalent of hidden dovetail joints I take it to a pro welder.

Most of what I do is tinkering about with 2T motorcycles and dodgy outboards.

The Hebrides are awesome. I would definitely put them in the must see and experience category. Fantastic part of the world.

The west coast is fantastic and I'd recommend a few days in Ullapool in winter; lovely quiet and beautiful time of year so great for a morning hike and then back to the hotel for lunch and beers in front of the fire and relaxing afternoons.

We've been several times to the islands but the first was two weeks island hopping on the ferry starting on Isla and finishing on Lewis and Harris.
