Heavy wall pipe

I’m new to the forum I have a steel fishing boat and am after a thick walled 1.5 inch bsp tube to weld in for the toilet but can’t find anything online anywhere , I wondered if anyone in Essex/ Suffolk had any idea where to get heavy walled threaded pipe ?

How much do you need? BSS in Colchester do sch40 pipe, I don't think they'll sell you less than a full 6 meter length.

only 150-200 mm length, but would buy a long length if had to! I have been trying to find sch80 or even heavier , 5-6 mm would be better it seems hard to bet hold of here , I could find plenty online in America

can you not get a threaded nipple that length from the heating merchants or eblag

General Pipe Services in Wickford. I think they just do steel pipe fabrication. They have loads of offcuts and will sell you what you need.

Why do you need it so thick? You said it's only for a bog.

I need it that thick because it’s being welded in to the hull of the boat which is 6 mm thick , a ball valve will then screw in to that

we changed everything to St/Steel....no more probs.....

Should be available. We've had 3" sch80 from Crossling or BSS before.
A 1.5" bore sounds like it will quickly block up though

Norwegian guy I used to work offshore with had a 60’ steel hulled motor cruiser. All the thru-hulls were welded in steel pipe, and all came up above the waterline before there was any sort of a valve or fitting, so absolutely no chance of leaks. Pretty good idea, I thought.

Think I’d want the stubs to be as short as possible. Easier to inspect that way.
