Heatsheild repair

Hi folks,how would you go about repairing this exhaust heatsheild which is rotted on the mounts?don’t say replace it cause this is one I’m thinking of buying,and this is the only one available at the moment,they are like gold dust for my car‍

Bolt/rivet a longer bracket from somewhere still in one piece. Got similar issues under my Alfa.

When I did my themed van. I ended up with two Rottern shields off two different vans.

Cut rot off them both and hammered one into shape.

I’ve no idea how I joined them or if over lapping.

I think was thin steel so I welded

Cut some large “washers” off a boiler washing machine etc case
