You could always install the wife and daughter outside, and duct the heat out.....I use a diesel heater in my garden office, maybe not exactly wife and daughter friendly unless you installed it outside and just ducted the heat in?
Zoning the heating could be an option but without seeing the pipes it would be impossible to say if it's going to be easy or a nightmare
Mains gas diesel heater going in garage but don’t fancy heating the office with one. I wonder once my initial investment of a gas wall heater is done how much cheaper it. Is to tin? Quite shocked at the price of them
In my experience, with two women (or more) together, just insulate the office very well, they will bring their own "Hot Air Vocall Heating System" with them.........In the new house winch girl and winch woman will be sharing a small office. Instead of heating the whole house what would be the most economical way to heat it?

I was called to help in a small office block, heating system had been replaced with a low temp system and central BMS
Many, many complaints from the fairer sex that it was "too cold"
Bit of an investigation and it turns out they used to go in, touch the radiator and if it didn't burn them, they turned the thermostat on the wall up
New radiators did not get that hot, and the thermostat was now a sensor so they could not adjust it
My solution was to install mechanical thermostats in every office, that clicked when turned up
We did not tell the office workers these were not connected to anything, but the complaints immediately stopped once they regained the ability to turn it up
from cold they take some heating up a large room so you would need a timer to come on earlier to heat the room to standared for usage60s house extended in the last 20 years the office is in the new bit about 3m x 2.5m. west facing window so gets the sun around 11am ish, until late afternoon
Most days it would-be in use for 8hours as usually at least one of them is working from home
Reading online looks like an oil filler rad would be 50p per hour to run!
Ah, the fairer sex and their comprehension of how thermostats work.... Bit of an investigation and it turns out they used to go in, touch the radiator and if it didn't burn them, they turned the thermostat on the wall up

I find myself sitting in a particular establishment for a couple of hours a week opposite the thermostat, and constantly witness the following spectacle:
Lady 1 walks past and turns the thermostat to 30 degrees
Lady 2 walks past 10 minutes later and turns the thermostat down to 5 degrees
Lady 1 walks past 10 minutes later and turns the thermostat up to 30 degrees
Lady 2 walks past 10 minutes later and turns the thermostat down to 5 degrees
...repeats for the duration of my coffee and scone, regardless of the actual ambient temperature or time of year....
