Header tank fixing. Any ideas ?

It would be a snowy day in hell when I would be drilling into the side of a tank ,,, you may get away with the lid where its only getting splashed , but drilling holes in the side for the sake of it , nope not for me.

They live quite happily submerged, they are used on sight glasses on the sides of hydraulic/fuel tanks . The ones used on the tops of tanks don’t leak even if the fuel is overfilled two feet up the filler pipe, cant see a problem

it would be like putting patches inside your tires ,,,, in case you got a puncture ,,, just better not to drill holes if you dont have to ,,, I would rather braze a top hat section onto the tank and put turret nuts onto that ,than drill holes ,
